Each Summer one or two "Gathering the Soul . . . in the Wilderness" retreats will be offered. The first ever "Gathering the Soul . . . on Horseback" journeys took place in the summer of 2003 in Yellowstone National Park. For the past several years Gathering the Soul ... in the Wilderness retreats have been held at the beautiful Blacktail Ranch in Wolf Creek, MT. In 2012 the retreat will again be at the Blacktail. The dates are August 18 to August 24 - seven days and six nights, including arrival and departure days, of encountering inner and outer wilderness, each serving as mirror for the other. Be prepared to leave your ordinary life behind as you enter into this potentially transformative experience. Included will be meditation, dreamwork, personal process, journaling and journeying, as well as horseback riding in an incredibly beautiful backcountry environment rarely seen by most humans. Eagles, hawks, elk, moose, and bears call this land home. Deepen your appreciation for and connection to the natural world and to parts of yourself that have been neglected, denied, or forgotten in your attempts to conform to the needs of your family of origin and contemporary society.
